Top 5 Minor League Events in Central PA: Number 4

Today I am continuing the top 5 minor league teams you have got to check out in Central PA.  I just wanted to note that the purpose of this is to highlight some great (winning) teams that you may or may not have known much about.  Yesterday, coming in at number 5, was the Central Penn Piranha.

4. Harrisburg Horizon

Harrisburg HorizonThe Horizon are the local semi-pro men’s and women’s basketball organization.  They play in the Eastern Basketball Alliance (EBA) against teams from New York, New Jersey and other regional states.  The men have won the league every season since 2002 and the women have been champs all but one year in the existence of the women’s league.  Their home games are played at Rowland Middle School on Derry Street and you can get tickets for $8.  That’s a decent price to see a championship team play.  You can learn more about the Horizon by checking out their web site.
